Progetto finalizzato a promuovere la creatività, la socializzazione, la conoscenza e l’interculturalità
“Nel mezzo del cammin di nostra vita mi ritrovai per una selva oscura ché la diritta via era smarrita”.
Così recitava Dante Alighieri nel 1300 nel passo di inizio della Divina Commedia, ponendo l'accento subito su come la sua fosse comunque un'esperienza collettiva. E, più egli si incamminava, più questa via si rendeva cupa e buia da suscitare sgomento. Lo stesso smarrimento interiore che attraversa ogni singolo individuo in un determinato periodo e/o per un particolare evento nella sua vita. Ma, smarrimento esteriore che viene vissuto anche dall’intera collettività, laddove intervengono fattori sociali e ambientali scatenanti.
La scelta quindi di confrontarsi con la Divina Commedia quale messaggio rivoluzionario nell’uso della letteratura e dell’arte nella conoscenza della vita e della spiritualità dell’individuo, con la sua essenza ancora e perennemente così contemporanea, con quel suo intrinseco linguaggio accessibile e vicino alla popolazione che, nel XIV secolo, era povera e priva di cultura.
In sintesi, un progetto nel quale dare spazio alle capacità artistiche individuali dell’arte, attento alla sperimentazione di nuovi linguaggi socio-culturali. Il progetto vuole essere una guida capace di coinvolgere soprattutto i giovani, quali traghettatori di questo nuovo millennio. Lo scopo ultimo è lanciare un messaggio: la presenza positiva e propositiva è la prima arma di riscatto di un luogo e di un tempo in cui l’indebolimento culturale, spirituale, artistico risiede nel demone dell’indifferenza e dell’isolamento. Il confrontarsi con questa opera che nei secoli è stata di esempio per tutte le arti, è volano per poter arrivare alla traduzione di un intento divino e particolarmente saggio e poetico attraverso una filosofia di socializzazione e tolleranza verso le fasce più deboli, e con particolare attenzione ai giovani. Un progetto volto ad accogliere e soddisfare il più ampio numero di destinatari delineando una sorta di ponte culturale fruibile a livello visivo, letterario, spirituale, intellettuale. Attraverso l’utilizzo di linguaggi espressivi innovativi e diversificati, si intende intraprendere un itinerario accattivante e coinvolgente per stimolare l’attenzione, la curiosità, la comprensione e la rielaborazione creativa delle attuali problematiche socio-ambientali.
Il progetto prevede il coinvolgimento di artisti che si cimenteranno, con opere in arti visive, scultura, installazioni, video art, mix di arti integrate, alla rappresentazione - in chiave attuale - dei passi della Divina Commedia, divisi in pari numero per entrambe le tre cantiche (inferno, purgatorio e paradiso). Le opere verranno rilegate in un catalogo unitamente a brevi racconti scritti appositamente per l’evento sempre sui temi interpretativi delle tre cantiche (selezionati fra tutti quelli pervenuti) e che verranno letti e/o interpretati con monologhi durante il corso dell’evento.
L’Evento verrà riproposto a Firenze in data e luogo da comunicarsi.

Project aims to promote creativity, socialization, knowledge and intercultural
“Halfway through the journey of our life I found myself within a forest dark for the straightforward pathway had been lost”
So read Dante Alighieri in 1300 in the step of beginning of the Divine Comedy, focusing now on how his was still a collective experience. And, as he walked, the more this road is made dark and dark to inspire awe. The same internal loss that crosses every individual in a given period and / or a particular event in his life. But outside that loss is experienced also by the entire community, where social factors and environmental triggers are involved.
So the choice of Divine Comedy, which deal with the revolutionary message in the use of literature and art in the knowledge of life and spirituality of the individual, its essence still and always so contemporary, with his intrinsic language accessible and close to the population in the fourteenth century, was poor and devoid of culture.
In summary, a project in which a space for individual artistic skills, attentive to the development of new socio-cultural languages. The project aims to be a leader able to involve young people in particular, such as ferries of this new millennium. The ultimate goal is to send a message: the presence of positive and proactive is the first gun buy-back of a place and a time when the weakening of cultural, spiritual, artistic devil lies in the indifference and isolation. The comparison with this work that over the centuries has been an example to all the arts, is flying to get to the translation of a divine intent and particularly wise and poetic through a philosophy of social tolerance and the weaker, and with particular attention young people. A project designed to cater to the broadest number of recipients outlining a sort of cultural bridge usable in visual, literary, spiritual, intellectual. Through the use of innovative and varied forms of expression, we intend to take a route attractive and engaging to stimulate the attention, curiosity, understanding and creative reworking of the current socio-environmental issues.
The project foresees the involvement of artists that will compete with works in visual arts, sculpture, installations, video art, integrated mix of arts, representation - in a modern - of the passages of the Divine Comedy, divided in equal numbers for both the three poems (hell, purgatory and paradise). The works are bound in a catalog along with short stories written especially for the event even on issues of interpretation of the three poems (selected from those received) and that will be read and / or interpreted with monologues during the course of the event.
The event will be repeated in Florence: time and place will be announced.

Articolo/article 1
APAI – Associazione per la Promozione delle Arti in Italia – organizza nelle sale di Palazzo Orsini a Bomarzo (VT) la manifestazione “Nel mezzo del cammin… mi ritrovai nel XXI secolo” – gli Artisti si confrontano con la Commedia Divina - in programma dal 20 al 30 giugno 2011.
L’Evento, aperto alle Arti visive e performative, alla musica, al teatro, alla danza ed alla narrativa, con tavole rotonde e attività culturali attraverso l’accoglienza delle diverse espressioni artistiche, si pone come obiettivi quello di rappresentare, nelle sue infinite sfaccettature, la verità, visibile e nascosta, di un rapporto complesso, affascinante e difficile di dipendenza e influenza reciproca tra Uomo e Ambiente attraverso l’utilizzo di linguaggi espressivi innovativi e diversificati, e quello di intraprendere un itinerario accattivante e coinvolgente per stimolare l’attenzione, la curiosità, la comprensione e la rielaborazione creativa delle attuali problematiche socio-ambientali.

I found myself in the XXI Century" - the Artists are faced with the Divine Comedy - scheduled for June 20/30, 2011. The event, open to the visual and performing arts, music, theater, dance and narrative, with panel discussions and cultural activities through the acceptance of different forms of art, has as its aims to represent, in its many facets the truth, visible and hidden, a complex relationship, fascinating and difficult of dependence and mutual influence between man and environment through the use of innovative and varied forms of expression, and to embark on the journey captivating and engaging in stimulating attention, curiosity, understanding and creative reworking of the current socio-environmental issues.

Sono ammessi alla manifestazione: Artisti conosciuti o ancora sconosciuti a livello nazionale e internazionale. Gli Artisti dovranno confermare la loro adesione all’evento inviando entro il 10 marzo 2011 la documentazione e le notizie tecniche richieste, nonché la prevista quota di iscrizione (euro 50,00 per Associati APAI, euro 100,00 per i non Associati). Il 15 marzo il Comitato organizzativo, alla presenza di tutti coloro che vorranno presenziare, effettuerà – tramite sorteggio – l’assegnazione degli Artisti ripartiti in numero equo per le tre cantiche (Inferno, Purgatorio, Paradiso). Entro il 20 marzo verrà pubblicata sul sito
https://apai.forumfree.it la lista delle assegnazioni e contestualmente inviata mail a tutti gli Artisti. Tassativamente entro il 29 maggio i partecipanti dovranno inviare: breve curriculum e una fotografia dell’opera ad alta risoluzione - formato jpg almeno 150 dpi -, corredata del titolo, misure, tecnica, ed eventuale prezzo di vendita.

Sono ammesse tutte le tecniche, le correnti e le tendenze artistiche: pittura, scultura, grafica e disegno, installazioni, fotografia, video, ed altro. Non sono previste limitazioni nelle tecniche, negli stili o nelle tendenze artistiche, purchè ci si attenga al tema della Mostra. Pur nel rispetto dell’ampia libertà di tendenza e di espressione, APAI ha facoltà di escludere dalla manifestazione quelle opere che non dovessero risultare rispondenti allo spirito della mostra stessa.
Gli artisti che avranno aderito, saranno suddivisi - tramite sorteggio - in numero equivalente per ogni cantica (Inferno, Purgatorio, Paradiso). Nell’ambito di tale assegnazione potranno poi liberamente scegliere il tema tratto dalle tre cantiche (di cui si fornisce ad ogni buon fine schema in allegato). Ad ogni artista sarà consentito presentare una sola opera le cui misure non dovranno superare m 1,5 x 1,5 (compresa cornice - per uniformità, si consiglia di usare delle bacchette di legno grezzo dello spessore di 2 cm), non verranno accettate opere eccedenti le misure indicate. Per una migliore resa tipografica si consiglia di sviluppare il lavoro in quadrato o rettangolo con poca differenza tra base e altezza (es. 100x80 cm). Le opere fotografiche dovranno avere una misura minima almeno di 30x40 cm e montate su cartoncino nero (misure minime 50x60 cm).
E’ obbligatorio munire le opere di idonea attaccaglia centrale. Per motivi di sicurezza le opere pittoriche e fotografiche dovranno pervenire senza vetro. Le opere scultoree non dovranno superare il peso di 20 kg (per pesi superiori consultare la segreteria). La loro altezza non dovrà superare m.1,50 con base di appoggio non superiore a 1,00 x 1,00 m. La dislocazione delle opere e gli itinerari artistici della manifestazione sono a cura dell’Organizzazione. Gli spazi espositivi di Palazzo Orsini, gioiello di architettura Rinascimentale, offrono delle condizioni standard che prevedono i pannelli espositivi e spazi di pavimento con adeguata illuminazione; per esigenze che richiedano un allestimento particolare si prega di informare tempestivamente la direzione per discuterne la possibilità di realizzazione. Non è ammesso utilizzare chiodi, viti e quant’altro possa danneggiare le pareti espositive, senza la supervisione e benestare dell’Organizzazione, in caso di accertata non ottemperanza saranno applicate sanzioni.

There are no limitations in the techniques, styles or artistic trends, as long as you adhere to the theme of the exhibition. While respecting the broad trend of freedom and expression, APAI has the right to exclude from the manifestation works that do not turn out to be satisfying to the spirit of the show itself.
The artists who have joined, will be divided - by lottery - in equal number for each poem (Inferno, Purgatorio, Paradiso). As part of this assignment can then freely choose the theme taken from three parts (of which provides each successful scheme in the Annex). Each artist will be allowed to submit only one work which measures should not exceed 1.5 m x 1.5 (including frame - for consistency, we recommend use of rough wooden chopsticks with a thickness of 2 cm), will not be accepted works excess of the measurements indicated. For best performance we recommend printing to develop the work in square or rectangle, with little difference between the base and height (eg 100x80 cm). The photographs must have a minimum size of at least 30x40 cm and mounted on black cardboard (at least 50x60 cm).
Is required to fit the works of a suitable central hanger. For security reasons, the paintings and photographs must be sent without glass. The sculptures must not exceed a weight of 20 kg (for heavier consult the secretary). Their height must not exceed m.1, 50 with a base not exceeding 1.00 x 1.00 m. The locations of the works and the artistic itineraries of the event by the Organization. The exhibition spaces of Palazzo Orsini, a jewel of Renaissance architecture, offering the standard conditions providing for the panels and floor space with adequate lighting for needs that require special preparation, please inform the direction of discussing the possibilities. It is not allowed to use nails, screws and other objects that may damage the display walls, without the supervision and approval of the Organization, in the event of proven non-compliance penalties will be applied.
Articolo 4
E’ prevista inoltre una sessione narrativa. Verranno selezionati 5 racconti brevi (2 cartelle) per ogni cantica. Gli scrittori che intendono partecipare dovranno far pervenire la loro adesione entro il 10 marzo e il loro componimento entro e non oltre il 15 maggio. La selezione verrà effettuata entro il 20 maggio e ne verrà data comunicazione agli interessati che avranno tempo fino al 29 maggio per la definitiva accettazione e versamento della quota prevista (euro 35,00). I racconti selezionati verranno pubblicati sul volume dell’evento. Ogni partecipante avrà diritto ad una copia del volume.

Articolo 5
Gli Artisti, entro i termini stabiliti, invieranno alla segreteria organizzativa la scheda di conferma della loro partecipazione ed il regolamento firmato in ogni sua pagina per accettazione, contestualmente al versamento della quota, come descritto nella scheda. Il contributo di partecipazione serve a coprire parte delle spese di gestione e organizzazione della Mostra e comprende i seguenti servizi e costi di organizzazione: allestimento, assicurazioni, costi di progettazione grafica e di stampa del volume nel quale ogni Artista è presente con un’opera a colori e con una scheda biografica standard (di cui verrà fornito fac-simile). APAI pur curando con la massima attenzione il volume in ogni suo dettaglio declina ogni responsabilità per eventuali refusi o errori. Il contributo serve anche a responsabilizzare gli Artisti partecipanti e ad evitare rinunce che potrebbero compromettere il buon esito della manifestazione. Pertanto, l’eventuale ritiro in qualunque momento della conferma di partecipazione alla manifestazione, qualunque sia il motivo del ritiro, non darà agli Artisti rinunciatari alcun diritto al rimborso delle quote versate. Il trasporto e la spedizione delle opere, sia per la partecipazione che per la restituzione, sarà a totale carico degli artisti.
Artists, on time, will sent to the organizers the card confirming their participation and settlement signed on each page for acceptance, together with the fee payment, as described on the card. The participation fee is to cover part of expenses of management and organization of the exhibition and includes the following services and costs of organization: construction, insurance costs, graphic design and printing of the volume in which each artist is represented by a work colors and with a standard biography (of which will be provided with a facsimile). APAI while treating the volume with the utmost care in every detail is not responsible for any misprints or mistakes. The contribution also serves to empower artists and participants to avoid cancellations that could jeopardize the success of the event. Therefore, any withdrawal at any time of confirmation of participation in the event, whatever the reason for withdrawal, it will give artists renounced any right to reimbursement of fees paid. Transportation and shipping of works, both for participation and for the refund will be paid entirely by the artists.
Articolo 6
L’ente organizzatore assicurerà la sede espositiva per furto, incendio e responsabilità civili, solo nel periodo dell’esposizione. E’ facoltà di ogni Artista provvedere all'assicurazione per furto, e danni che possono subire le opere durante le operazioni di trasporto, di allestimento permanenza e disallestimento. Tutte le polizze dovranno contenere la clausola di rinunzia all'azione di rivalsa sia nei confronti del Centro Espositivo che dell'Ente Organizzatore, sia nei confronti degli altri espositori. L'espositore non assicurato è ammesso ugualmente alla mostra assumendo in prima persona le responsabilità previste dal presente articolo.

Gli Organizzatori, per favorire l'afflusso degli operatori specializzati e dei visitatori Italiani e Stranieri, svolgerà una adeguata azione pubblicitaria, interessando specifici organi di stampa e veicoli pubblicitari.

Articolo 9
L’Associazione potrebbe decidere di rendere la mostra itinerante, tappa sicuramente già valutata: Firenze 2012, nel qual caso gli Artisti partecipanti all’Evento di Bomarzo saranno tutti chiamati a partecipare. Con tale regolamento si impegnano quindi ad essere presenti nelle tappe successive con la loro opera, anche nel caso sia stata nel frattempo venduta. Ogni tappa avrà un differente costo in base agli accordi presi localmente, ma che non supereranno mai il costo del presente Evento.
Tutte le opere non potranno essere ritirate prima della data di conclusione ufficiale della manifestazione e non oltre i 5 giorni successivi, per giustificati imprevisti impedimenti contattare l’Organizzazione.
Gli Artisti partecipanti sono tenuti al rispetto del presente regolamento in ogni sua parte ed alla piena, operativa e cortese collaborazione durante il periodo di esposizione e delle annesse attività culturali.

Ciascun partecipante concede agli Organizzatori i diritti di riproduzione delle opere e dei testi rilasciati ai fini della pubblicazione del libro e della eventuale pubblicazione delle stesse sul sito web dell’Associazione APAI e di Davide Ghaleb Editore e delle altre forme di comunicazione e attività che l’Organizzazione riterrà opportune. Gli autori minorenni, se selezionati, potranno accedere alla pubblicazione solo previo consenso scritto dei genitori.
La pubblicazione nel volume non da adito a chicchessia a richieste di compensi, rimborsi spese o diritti d’autore. Ciascun partecipante autorizza espressamente gli Organizzatori, nonché i loro delegati, a trattare i dati personali trasmessi in base alla L. 675/96 e successive modifiche.
Each entrant grants to the organizers the rights to reproduce works and other documents released for publication of books and eventual publication of the same on the website of APAI and Davide Ghaleb Editore and other forms of communication and activities that 'Organization deems appropriate. The authors minors, if selected, will be accessible only publication prior written consent of the parents.
Publication in the book does not call for anyone to requests for fees, expenses or royalties. Each participant expressly authorizes the organizers and their delegates, to process personal data supplied pursuant to L. 675/96 and subsequent amendments.
Articolo 11
Le norme del presente regolamento generale sono necessariamente molto riassuntive e non esprimono in maniera completa e dettagliata la complessità del lavoro organizzativo. Il presente regolamento generale si intende pertanto integrato da tutti i comunicati e lettere circolari che verranno diramati a quanti altri collaborano alla realizzazione della manifestazione. E' facoltà degli Organizzatori, qualora concorrano opportuni motivi, variare luogo della sede espositiva, dandone tempestiva notizia a tutti gli interessati. APAI si riserva il diritto di apportare al presente regolamento tutte quelle modifiche che riterrà opportune per il buon andamento della manifestazione, impegnandosi a darne tempestiva comunicazione agli artisti partecipanti.
Provisions of this regulation are necessarily very general summary and does not make a complete and detailed the complexity of the organizational work.
